Summary

Our client, a leading construction firm, is seeking a strategic and hands-on IT Infrastructure Manager to spearhead the evolution of our technology landscape. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure, supporting both on-site and remote construction projects. The successful candidate will lead a team of infrastructure specialists, driving innovation and efficiency through robust IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Infrastructure Management: Direct and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, overseeing the management of data centers, network systems, end-user computing, and communication platforms.
  • Align IT infrastructure strategies with the company’s construction project demands, ensuring scalability and reliability across diverse environments.
  • Technology Integration and Collaboration: Partner with project management and field operations teams to integrate cutting-edge IT solutions that enhance construction efficiency and data management.
  • Collaborate with software development and data analytics teams to support the deployment and optimization of construction technology platforms.
  • Technical Leadership and Implementation: Provide expert guidance in the implementation and maintenance of enterprise IT solutions, including cloud-based infrastructure (Azure), endpoint management (Intune), and collaboration tools.
  • Oversee the deployment and support of field-based technology, such as mobile devices, site connectivity, and specialized construction software.
  • Operational Excellence and Security: Establish and enforce best practices for IT operations, security, and compliance, ensuring the integrity and availability of critical systems.
  • Lead incident management and problem resolution efforts, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Innovation and Process Improvement: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies that can enhance construction operations, driving innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Implement process improvements and automation to streamline IT operations and support the company’s growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience managing complex IT infrastructure environments, with a focus on Microsoft Azure services.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions, relevant to construction data management.
  • 5+ years of experience managing endpoint and collaboration services, including mobile device management and remote access solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing IT teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Strong understanding of construction technology trends and their application in improving project efficiency.
