Job Overview

The Manager, Integration Development, is responsible for the strategic vision and implementation strategy to support NRS system’s communications with trading partners and customers via EDI, API or MFT. This role is also responsible for system integration between internal systems and/or external solutions (SaaS, hosted products).

The Manager must be an effective business partner, with the ability to drive change within the organization towards a culture of process maturity. It is essential that the candidate in this role implements best practices for monitoring communications, troubleshooting issues, proactively communicating with trading partners and improving data flow. The Manager should have a wide range of knowledge in best-in-class technology such as (Jitterbit, Boomi and Cleo) including hands on expertise in EDI tools and mapping.

Duties And Responsibilities

Lead, Manage, and hold Accountable

  • Support and promote the company values, culture, and HR processes
  • Lead, coach, and manage direct reports
  • Recruit, reward, and recognize employees
  • Provide the necessary training opportunities, tools, and resources to ensure team success
  • Provide clear direction in weekly team checkpoints
  • Manage frequent performance feedback

Integration Development

  • Develop and implement Integration strategies
  • Manage EDI/API operations
  • Design and Develop EDI/API solutions
  • Test and Validate EDI/API integrations
  • Monitor and troubleshoot EDI performance

Deliver Innovative Solutions

  • Implement automation and AI where applicable to improve consistency and productivity
  • Establish a strategy for Integration Platform as-a-Service for the organization
  • Interact with the Data and Analytics team to ensure data quality and accuracy

Business Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Partner with business leaders to build awareness and maximize value/impact of the function
  • Build trust and strong working relationships with Technology and Business stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of experience in business analysis, project / program delivery, solution design, & EDI tools such as Epicor or OpenText.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to adapt to change.
  • Knowledge of Logistics or 3PL business processes a bonus.
  • Continuous Learning - staying updated with emerging technologies and techniques.
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time.

Required Skills

  • Highly proficient in programming and scripting skills in languages such as JavaScript, SQL, Python or C++.
  • Expert understanding of EDI Principles and Standards.
  • Expert understanding of APIs and developing code to access APIs.
  • Proficient in Project Management to lead EDI projects, define scope, deliverables, schedules and manage resources.
  • Expert in troubleshooting EDI issues, provide technical support and ensure data integrity.
  • Expert in establishing documentation standards and maintaining documentation of EDI design, specifications and operating protocols.
  • Knowledge of IBM iSeries platform is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of OpenText EDI tools is a bonus.
