About the Role - As an IT Manager and Security Officer, you will be responsible of overseeing and supporting our international IT operations. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related requirements at our international sites and will work closely with the corporate IT team in the US to ensure global alignment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to manage IT services efficiently, drive innovation, and enhance system performance.


Responsibilities


IT Leadership:

  • Act as the main point of contact for IT needs across international sites.
  • Work closely with the corporate IT team in the US to ensure global IT strategy integration.
  • Manage and lead IT support teams and oversee engineering operations.
  • Provide clear and effective communication, simplifying complex IT concepts for stakeholders.
  • Lead high-priority projects, ensuring timely execution and effective collaboration.
  • Maintain team performance, overseeing IT personnel, system upgrades, and resource allocation.
  • Manage system obsolescence and refresh cycles to keep infrastructure up-to-date.


End User Services:

  • Oversee end-user device management, including provisioning, upgrades, and retirement.
  • Administer Office 365 (O365) systems and provide user support.
  • Enhance IT operations by automating tasks using Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Strengthen incident and change management processes for efficiency.
  • Offer user assistance during IT optimizations or transitions.
  • Ensure seamless interconnectivity with external networks and mobile accessibility for users.


Network Infrastructure:

  • Troubleshoot performance issues in a multi-user, high-availability environment.
  • Document and reference infrastructure components, software, and application links for clarity
  • Develop technical recommendations and implement innovative infrastructure solutions.


Cyber Security and Compliance:

  • Implement the global cyber security plan to align with best practices.
  • Maintain security requirements in compliance with ISO 27001 and UK Cyber Essentials.
  • Conduct and supervise security training to ensure adherence to security protocols.


Business and Engineering Systems:

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain IT infrastructure to support business operations effectively.
  • Ensure integration of new technologies into existing systems for seamless functionality.
  • Utilize Oracle knowledge to manage databases and applications.
  • Conduct data analysis to support informed decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Travel up to 10% as required.
  • Manage transition service arrangements with partners.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong technical background in network infrastructure, IT management, and cyber security.
  • Experience with ISO 27001, UK Cyber Essentials, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 administration and automation tools (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
  • Leadership abilities with experience in team management and performance oversight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to drive informed decisions.
  • Experience with Oracle databases and business applications.
