About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Infrastructure & Support Manager who is responsible for managing our Microsoft Azure & 365 environment and managing our IT Support Desk Team of 3 FTE’s based in different countries within the EU.

You have a result driven and hands-on mentality, is pro-active and finds it a challenge to optimize and lead your IT Support Desk Team by example. With your (project) management and leading skill you find ways to reduce the time to fix and lower the incidents by performing root cause analysis. You use your analytic skills to manage through KPI’s, setting up policies and procedures.


You work together with other IT departments, business divisions and external suppliers. You are the Senior specialist who can create a solid enterprise foundation from fragmented Microsoft environments that were inherited from the different take-overs. You know how to setup Technical IT policies, structure, documentation, on and offboarding procedures. Knows the standard topology of Networking to talk with and understand Network specialists. You are up to date on the latest Microsoft security developments and is used to take the technical lead to build and configure a solid enterprise foundation ready for the future. You are reporting directly to the Group IT Director.


As nLighten is a fast-growing company where the IT department is in the process of being setup you are comfortable to work hands-on to take on all tasks that are related to IT, including Support Desk tasks, workplace management (installing hardware). In short: you are a pro-active builder that’s comfortable of doing things him/herself in the interest of the organisation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Managing, Design and Administrating our Microsoft Azure & 365 Environment
  • Lead and develop the Support Desk team across multiple countries
  • Oversee external IT suppliers and ensure service delivery
  • Lead migration projects from on-site systems to the cloud
  • Administration of Intune
  • Implementing a new ITMS (Topdesk) together with external consultants
  • Analyse performance data and troubleshoot issues.
  • Establish IT policies, onboarding/offboarding processes, and documentation
  • Collaborate with compliance teams on regulatory requirements
  • Define and track KPIs; manage incident, change, and project workflows


What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure and support
  • Supporting IT HBO or higher education and diploma’s
  • Proven leadership in managing IT Support Desk operations
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, 365, Intune, MS Project, Visio, Security, Topdesk
  • Experience with structured IT policy development and governance
  • Practical knowledge of networking fundamentals and cloud security
  • Experience in IT project management and complex system migrations
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and KPI tracking
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Hands-on, proactive, result driven approach; comfortable with scale-up environments
  • English (must), Dutch (preferred), German and or French (bonus!)
  • Able to travel regularly to our offices within the EU

  • Microsoft Certified: EndPoint Administrator (MD-102)
  • Microsoft Certified: 365 Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

  • Microsoft Certified: 365 Security Administrator (MS-500)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Cyber Architect Expert (SC-100)
