Job Summary The IT Infrastructure & Security Technician will troubleshoot and maintain the organizations network systems. Duties and Responsibilities Maintains network systems, installing new hardware and modifying existing hardware, and related network software and applications. Help ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to company standards, policies, and security requirements Be expected to learn new technologies and apply that knowledge to the ever-changing landscape of the company's IT needs Collaborates with Team Members to review and analyze hardware and software needs; recommends changes. Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data that are part of our internal and external systems Create and update systems procedures Install, configure, upgrade, and support Windows clients Provide end-user computer hardware and software support to local and remote users provide backup support as volume and schedules require Assist in the implementation of new technologies as business needs are identified Manage hardware inventory, including overseeing quarterly inventory counts at all locations. Assist with imaging and deployment of computer hardware when needed Respond to help desk calls promptly and efficiently Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions Performs other duties as assigned. Thorough understanding of computer-related security systems including firewalls, encryption, and password protection and authentication. Education and Experience Degree in any IT support related field encouraged, but not required.
