ECS is seeking a Journeyman Computer User Support Specialist to work in our Ann Arbor, MI office.
Job Description:
Helpdesk technician with a diverse set of skills and experience including computer network and server support. The ideal candidate will be team oriented, self motivated, and have medium to large environment experience supporting IT solutions involving Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy administration, VMware vSphere administration, SAN storage, Microsoft Server 2008/2012 and Cisco Networks certification preferred. Candidate should have strong customer service experience and be willing to participate in general helpdesk support tasks such as creating and routing tickets. Candidate should be able to participate in vulnerability remediation including patching of servers, switches and other network devices.
Scheduling flexibility and willingness to participate in regularly scheduled after hours maintenance rotation preferred
Required Skills:
Helpdesk experience
Experience using ServiceNow ticketing system
Microsoft Server (2008 and later) Configuration Administration
Active Directory Administration
Familiarity with Microsoft desktop operating system (Windows XP, 7,10, 11)
Lotus Notes experience
Associates Degree
Desired Skills:
Cabling experience
Microsoft server 2008, 2012 configuration/administration experience, Certification preferred
VMWare VSphere administration experience
Cisco switch administration experience, certification preferred
Fortinet administration experience
SAN administration
Avaya phone system administration
SCCM Administration
Patching of servers, switches and other network equipment
Familiarity with Tenable Nessus
Python, JavaScript, and PHP
