Summary

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with experience in the insurance sector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to define business requirements, translate them into actionable deliverables, and collaborate with development teams, stakeholders, and end-users to ensure successful system implementation and enhancements. This role requires expertise in Agile methodologies, system design, and scrum master/project management functions when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
  • Define and translate business requirements into clear, actionable deliverables for the development team.
  • Lead and facilitate stakeholder and user collaboration to analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.
  • Ensure that system designs align with business objectives and data engineering needs.
System Design & Implementation Support
  • Assist in the creation and enhancement of system designs, data models, business rules, and migration strategies.
  • Coordinate with the development team to ensure system enhancements meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of new systems and feature enhancements.
Project Management & Agile Leadership
  • Perform Scrum Master, Project Manager, Program Manager, and Change Management roles as needed.
  • Lead and facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies, ensuring efficient sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Develop and manage epics and stories in collaboration with the Data Engineering Manager or Product Owner.
Stakeholder Engagement & Training
  • Develop and execute communication plans for all stakeholder groups.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create training materials and documentation.
  • Train peers, end-users, and IT team members on new systems, processes, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • 3+ years of experience in the insurance sector.
  • 2+ years of experience leading Agile Scrum ceremonies and activities.
  • Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) - Nice to have.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong skills in communication, problem-solving, project management, and technical analysis.
  • Proven experience providing business analysis support for system development and enhancements.
