Summary:
The IT Asset and Inventory Administrator plays a critical role in supporting Morgan Properties' technology operations by ensuring the effective management, tracking, and lifecycle maintenance of all IT assets. This position is essential for driving operational efficiency and maintaining compliance with organizational and industry standards. The administrator's core responsibilities include managing the full lifecycle of IT equipment, developing and implementing asset management policies, and ensuring seamless coordination across departments. Success in this role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive. Close collaboration with IT, procurement, and other internal teams ensures that technology resources are deployed effectively to meet business needs. The IT Asset and Inventory Administrator's mission is to maintain a robust and transparent asset management system that supports both operational excellence and long-term strategic initiatives.
Essential Duties:
Asset Management and Inventory Control
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of all IT assets, including hardware and peripherals.
* Tag, track, and monitor assets throughout their lifecycle.
* Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
* Manage inventory levels and order equipment based on ticket requests, project needs, and replenishment schedules.
Procurement, Deployment, and Vendor Management
* Coordinate the acquisition of new IT assets, ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Liaise with vendors to negotiate contracts, manage warranties, and ensure timely delivery of equipment and services.
* Oversee the deployment of new equipment and assist with annual computer refresh projections and tracking.
Maintenance, Support, and Asset Disposal
* Schedule and perform routine maintenance activities to ensure optimal asset performance.
* Provide technical support for hardware and software issues as needed.
* Manage the secure and compliant disposal of obsolete or damaged IT equipment following environmental and organizational guidelines.
Policy Development, Reporting, and Compliance
* Assist in developing and implementing asset management policies and procedures.
* Generate regular reports on asset status, inventory levels, and maintenance activities, providing recommendations for process improvements.
* Ensure compliance with internal standards, Morgan Properties guidelines, and relevant industry regulations.
* Train staff on asset management procedures and proper IT equipment usage to promote efficiency and accountability.

Education and/or Experience:

* Solid understanding of IT hardware, software, and lifecycle management best practices.
* Familiarity with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT asset management.
