IT Applications Manager
(Atlanta or Irvine, Full-time, Hybrid)
Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Applications Manager to join our team. In this essential role, you will contribute to the seamless operation of our services, providing crucial support to our department in delivering exceptional client service and maintaining our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Application Lifecycle Management:
* Oversee the end-to-end management of all firm applications, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with organizational goals.
* Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of applications on all firm client devices, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
* Manage all aspects of client devices, including software and driver updates, maintenance, and ensuring systems are current and supported.
* Coordinate with stakeholders to assess application needs, manage licensing, and plan for updates or decommissioning.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the application lifecycle.
Team Leadership & Development:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Application Specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
* Lead and coordinate multiple application-related projects annually, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with business goals.
* Allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and organizational objectives.
* Identify opportunities to develop expertise through training and certifications for you and the Application Specialists
* Assist Technical Support as an escalation point for troubleshooting and resolving application or cloud service issues.
* Utilize the ITIL System of Incidents, Problems, Service Requests and Changes to record, track, and document the problem-solving process.
Workload Management & Capacity Planning:
* Design and implement systems to monitor and measure team workloads, including metrics such as task duration, completion rates, and resource utilization.
* Develop forecasting models to predict future capacity requirements based on historical data and organizational growth.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align capacity planning with business objectives and demand forecasts.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
* Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness in application management.
* Implement best practices and standardized procedures to streamline operations.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements
* College diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems, or 7 years equivalent work experience.
* Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
* In-depth hands-on knowledge and experience with enterprise and desktop applications, including Microsoft Office applications, Compulaw, Aderant, iManage Work, and Adobe Acrobat.
* Strong understanding of application development, deployment, and maintenance processes.
* Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and data analytics platforms.
* Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
* Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end-user procedures.
* Highly self-motivated and directed.
* Deep personal commitment to integrity, excellent judgement, and the highest standard of ethics.
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
* Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills, with the ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
* Ability to provide on-call and off-hours support.
* Occasional travel between regional offices is required.
Desired Qualifications
* Microsoft Office, MTA, MCSA Windows 10, or A+ Certification.
* Experience with IT asset management tools and best practices.
The yearly rate range for this position is $110,000- $120,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
