Summary

About the Role: As an IT Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and systems. You will work closely with other IT professionals and end-users to ensure the efficient and secure operation of IT resources, provide technical support, and implement IT policies and procedures to support business operations. Essential Job Responsibilities: * System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. * Network Administration: Manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, to maintain network connectivity, security, and performance, and troubleshoot network issues as needed. * User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving user account problems, and assisting with software installations and upgrades. * Security Management: Implement and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and controls to protect against security threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches, and monitor security logs and alerts to identify and respond to security incidents. * Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure the integrity and availability of critical data and systems in the event of data loss or system failures. * Documentation and Training: Document IT configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, and provide training and guidance to end-users and IT staff on IT best practices and procedures. * Software and Patch Management: Manage software licenses, updates, and patches to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and mitigate security vulnerabilities, and deploy software updates and patches in a timely manner. * Vendor Management: Liaise with IT vendors, service providers, and contractors to procure IT equipment and services, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate service delivery and support.
