About The Role
Crate and Barrel is looking for a driven and talented iOS Frontend Developer to join our team. In this fully remote role, you will collaborate with the eCommerce team to design and build customer-facing mobile solutions for both internal and external customers. You’ll work with cross-functional teams, including Design/UX, product management, and API teams, to develop responsive, maintainable, and high-quality iOS applications using native iOS frameworks. You will play an integral role in problem-solving and stakeholder management in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement iOS applications using Swift, Objective-C, and Cocoa Touch.
- Collaborate with Brand Teams, Product Teams, QA, Analytics, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication of progress and priorities.
- Build responsive, adaptive, and accessible applications.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, execution, review, and retrospective.
- Assist in code reviews, technical design meetings, and unit testing.
- Adhere to style guides, pattern libraries, and SDLC processes.
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Optimize application performance and speed.
- Collaborate with offshore teams and handle multi-targeted apps.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Hands-on knowledge of native iOS frameworks (UIKit, CoreAnimation, etc.), Xcode, Instruments, TestFlight, Objective-C, and Swift.
- Experience submitting apps to the App Store and managing different app versions.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with source control (BitBucket preferred).
- Ability to build responsive, performant, and accessibility-compliant applications (WCAG).
- Experience consuming first- and third-party APIs.
- Excellent debugging skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to business owners, product management, design, and QA teams.
- Experience with APM tools like New Relic is a plus.
- Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Skills
- At least 3 years of hands-on mobile application development experience.
- One or more apps published in the Apple App Store.
- Experience with JIRA preferred.
- Prior experience with Android apps or API/web development in .NET is a plus.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or Visual Communication (Master’s preferred).
Salary And Benefits
Minimum Starting Salary: $92,000 annually
Up to: $115,000 annually
In addition to your salary, associates may be eligible for other compensation, including bonuses, sales incentives, and long-term incentives. Pay ranges may be adjusted to comply with applicable state and local laws.
