About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Banking Associate to join our team, specializing in the Technology sector. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong technical and interpersonal skills, capable of contributing to high-level client service, managing teams, and executing complex transactions within the technology industry.

As an Investment Banking Associate, you will take on significant responsibilities, including financial analysis and modeling, managing junior team members, preparing client presentations, and directly interacting with senior bankers and clients. This role requires a sophisticated understanding of corporate finance, M&A, and the technology sector, as well as a high level of organizational and multi-tasking ability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting financial analysis and developing financial models (LBO, DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, etc.) for technology clients.
  • Preparing comprehensive pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing materials tailored to the tech sector.
  • Managing and executing M&A transactions, including coordinating with clients, investors, and other deal stakeholders.
  • Supporting due diligence processes by organizing and reviewing materials related to technology companies.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with technology clients, including communicating strategic advice and managing client expectations.
  • Leading and mentoring junior team members, including Analysts and Associates.
  • Assisting in new business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities in the technology sector and preparing materials for pitches.
  • Collaborating with senior bankers to ensure smooth deal execution, from initial discussions to closing.


Key Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant investment banking or M&A experience, ideally with experience in technology or related sectors.
  • Proven experience working on M&A transactions from pitch to close, with exposure to the technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting, particularly within technology.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a strong team player mentality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields; an MBA from a top-tier business school is preferred.
  • Proficiency with tools like S&P Capital IQ, Pitchbook, Salesforce CRM, and online data room platforms.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, or 79 licenses preferred.
