We're looking for an Inventory Specialist in our Des Moines office to support our project teams by managing incoming purchase requisitions, overseeing inventory control, and making sure materials are where they need to be—on time and in the right condition.
What You’ll Do
Process incoming purchase requisitions and create purchase orders for internal teams
Receive, count, and verify incoming materials, then label and organize them according to warehouse standards
Maintain inventory accuracy through scheduled physical counts and daily tracking in the inventory system
Pick, pack, and ship materials to job sites based on project needs
Handle emergency and short-turnaround orders as directed by the Senior Inventory Specialist
Report inventory discrepancies and coordinate with team members to resolve them
Assist with returns of defective or excess materials
Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks
Support site-specific safety and cleanliness standards
Coordinate deliveries and internal transfers as needed
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED
1+ year of experience in inventory, purchasing, or warehouse operations
Working knowledge of inventory management systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass contractor background check
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Solid time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
