Job Summary

The Inventory Control Analyst will be responsible for working closely with our supply chain team as well as 3 rd party logistics sites in the areas of inventory control, supply replenishment, kit assembly, staging of systems for commercial shipments, order entry and release, and as well as coordinating shipping logistics directly with our carriers to customer sites. To support optimized workflow and process instructions and to ensure scalable processes to support company growth, this individual needs to operate with a sense of urgency and focus on detailed execution. This position is based in the Fremont, CA office.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Be the primary inventory control liaison with 3 rd party suppliers.
  • Manage cycle count program in house and with 3 rd parties to ensure high inventory integrity.
  • Analyze actual product demand, trends and forecasts, and adjust inventory plans accordingly with the supply chain team.
  • Ensure that activities are well documented within our ERP system with attention to detail in support of auditing requirements.
  • Provide inventory control oversight, including working daily with quality and other supporting functions on material put away as well as supporting non-conforming material processing.
  • Investigate and report reasons for discrepancies to supply chain management.
  • Receive and ship materials from Fremont to suppliers, customer sites, and 3 rd party partners.
  • Coordinate shipping with carriers on all commercial systems and consumables shipments.
  • Work with supply chain management in oversight of our carrier’s performance and rates.
  • Maintain an organized warehouse and stockroom through material status labeling and segregation as needed to ensure proper control for medical device manufacturing.
  • Receive and process inbound RMA materials in a timely manner and actively communicate with the impacted team to ensure rapid investigation and processing of materials
  • Collaborate with IT and Commercial teams to ensure scalable order processing to support growth.
  • Coordinate with buyers to ensure optimized inventory levels at all locations and suppliers.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Well established operations background and understanding of inventory control as well inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Demonstrated experience working with commercial carriers (i.e. FedEx, UPS, DHL) for domestic and international shipping.
  • Direct experience working with 3 rd party logistics and inventory partners.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ERP and related systems.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Track record of established operations experience in fast paced growth environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable Quality System Standards.

Preferred

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree.
  • Working experience in operations at a medical device company.
  • Experience with freight logistics.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position and operate office equipment for a prolonged period of time.
  • Physical activities include, but not limited to constant manual dexterity, moving about the work site, and/or handling objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Other infrequent physical activities include, but not limited to, positioning self to complete assigned tasks, and ascending/descending floors and/or ladders.
  • Occasionally work around moving mechanical parts.
  • Must be able to work in a schedule that commensurate with business operation, including work during weekends, holidays and/or times outside of normal business hours.
  • Must be able to travel as business necessitates (up to 5 %).
