BD Team
The Business Development Team at MVRDV connects bold design ideas with new opportunities around the world. We focus on identifying potential clients, responding to tenders, and supporting strategic growth in key markets. As part of this team, you’ll gain insights into how architecture practices grow their global presence and how creative work is turned into real commissions.
About The Role
As a Business Development Intern at MVRDV, you’ll be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team working at the intersection of design, strategy, and innovation. From day one, you’ll dive into real business development initiatives – conducting market research, contributing to strategic proposals, and helping maintain strong client relationships. We are looking for a
full-time (40 hours/week) architect intern to join us
on-site (at the office 5 days a week) from 1 September 2025 to 28 Feburary 2026, for an exciting 6-month internship. More specifically, we are looking for students with:
- Enrolled in a relevant programme e.g. Architecture, Urbanism, or Business Management/Administration
- Interest in the business side of a creative practice
- Experience with the Adobe Suite (especially InDesign) and with Microsoft Office
- Fluency in written and spoken English; German, Chinese or Korean language skills are a plus
- You’re creative and innovative
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Understanding of architectural processes
- Authorised to work in the Netherlands (through being an EU citizen, having a Dutch student permit, working holiday permit or Erasmus+)
- Enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship (proof required)
What you’ll be doing
- Maintain and update our graphic materials and project texts
- Assist with the development of BD materials (EOIs, RFQs, RFPs, Portfolios)
- Take part in brainstorming sessions and suggesting innovative ideas
- Undertake market research and identify key players and projects in different countries
- Make critical and strategic analyses of new project opportunities
- Update our CRM system
- Support the production of BD reports
- Assist in general management of office materials, filing, copying, and performing other clerical tasks
