Summary

Consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start around August or September 2025 and continue through the Fall term (ending approximately December 2025) or continuing into Winter/Spring 2026 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships. International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year. Your application for the DOJO - Firmware Engineering Internship will be considered across all opportunities for the teams listed below: * The Dojo AI Supercomputer Fabric Team designs, verifies, builds, and deploys high-radix fabric interconnect systems for Tesla. We are looking for an outstanding verification intern to develop, manage, test, and physically wire the interconnect for several ExaFLOP AI systems. * The Electronic Devices Display team Tesla is looking for a display engineering intern for hardware and software qualification of the display panel system for Tesla vehicles infotainment system. This individual will be managing all activities necessary to deliver displays into vehicles from initial concept to production by working on firmware development for display ICs, electronic system development, and software testing tools. * The Embedded Firmware Development team develops bare-metal firmware for a variety of Tesla products, inside and outside of vehicles. A great experience for interns wanting to gain experience and deeper understanding of computers functioning at the lowest levels. * Currently working towards a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field * Strong comfort in C, C++, Assembly and/or Python * Understanding fundamentals of real-time operating system (RTOS) principles * Deep knowledge in advanced computer architecture, micro-architecture concepts, and embedded systems
