To schedule, manage and complete outbound shipments internationally and domestically as necessary.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Manage outgoing shipments on a daily and weekly basis, both planned and unplanned.
Create shipping documentation through both the SAP operating system and assorted carrier interfaces, such as FEDEX, DHL and UPS.
Having intimate knowledge of the international shipping model, including working terminology for documents, including SLI, BOL, Packing List, COC and possess the ability to learn new documentation standards as necessary.
Have or be willing to gain HAZMAT certification for Lithium Ion batteries for air, ground and sea shipments.
Maintain records and paperwork trails with a high level of detail and personal accountability.
Maintain standard and specific shipping methods, dependent on the customers needs, order size, time constraints and deliver the expected service that HYTORC requires from it’s Customer Service Teams globally.
Education/Experience Required
1-5 years in an international outbound role. Domestic shipping experience a plus, college a plus.
Computer Skills Necessary
Fluent in Microsoft office products; comfortable reading and sending 70+ emails per day.
Physical Demands/Requirements
The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 15 pounds and be aware in a warehouse environment for specific needs in the warehouse.
Work Environment
Standard office environment of moderate noise level.
Normal work environment is in an office area. However, there may be occasional visits to the Shipping/Receiving area, which is in close proximity to the loading dock. Periodic opening and closing of the overhead door can cause temporary temperature variations and noise levels higher than in the normal “office” areas.
