Summary

We are looking for an experienced, proactive and highly motivated professional to support UWE Bristol, UK activities in South Asia via Grok’s Program Office service, based in either Mumbai, New Delhi or Bangalore.

UWE International Educational Services is a wholly owned UWE company, located across 14 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, with the hub office in Kuala Lumpur. Over 90 staff come together to provide recruitment services, admissions, student journey support, teaching and learning activities, the provision of joint English Language programmes, international marketing and much more. You will work closely with this Asia Pacific-based team.


Role and Responsibilities


The International Admissions Advisor is a customer-focused higher education professional who provides outstanding service and support for international applicants and channel partners. The role works closely with education agents and institutional partners to deliver a holistic customer experience that keeps students and partners engaged throughout the application process to secure the enrollment of fully qualified students.


The successful candidate’s duties will include:


  • Deliver holistic, client-focused customer service to engage students and partners throughout the application process.
  • Understand the needs and expectations of the team’s customer service base (students, partners, and education agents), and work with them to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Provide effective and solution-oriented communication via University systems, phone, email and face-to-face with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate the ability to provide written communication and purposeful recommendations cohesively.
  • Collate, review, and maintain confidential, sensitive and accurate records of international student enquiries, applications and assessment records.
  • Exercise judgement to make informed, independent decisions for the pre-assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate international applications under prescribed admissions frameworks.
  • Provide logistical and event support to the recruitment team during peak periods.
  • Develop and demonstrate expertise in foreign education systems and qualifications.


The role will report to the Student Recruitment Manager based in India.


The Most Suitable Background


  • 3+ years of experience in increasingly responsible roles related to admissions in international education.
  • Experience supporting a UK University with its admission process will be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree with good to strong academic performance.
  • Strong English at a Professional Working Proficiency.
  • Voluntary or other life experience that demonstrates creativity, hard work, persistence, and a drive to succeed.
