As an Internal Control Manager, your role will be to design, review, and monitor internal control policies and procedures. In this role, your expertise will be vital in developing internal control framework fit for a global energy company.

You will collaborate with multiple departments, including compliance, risk management, finance, and operations, to ensure that processes align with company policies and relevant regulations.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization's risk management and compliance strategies are robust and effective.


WHAT YOU WILL DO


  • Develop and Implement Internal Control Frameworks: Create and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Control Evaluation: Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls, including segregation of duties, access controls, and authorization processes.
  • Collaboration: Work with departmental managers and process owners to address control deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to employees on internal control principles, policies, and procedures.
  • "Monitoring and Reporting of Key Metrics

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of internal controls and risk mitigation efforts. Regularly present these metrics to senior management and provide recommendations for improvement."


WHAT YOU WILL BRING


  • Experience: Extensive Experience in Internal Controls or Auditing: Proven track record in developing and managing internal control frameworks, particularly within trading, finance, or related sectors.
  • Proven experience of delivering a fresh set of internal control policies and framework.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of internal control principles, practices, and frameworks. Knowledge of auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Risk Management Expertise: Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
  • Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of German, UK, and international regulations (e.g., MiFID II, AML, GDPR, IFRS).
