Intern, Software engineer (F/M)

Internship Summary
We offer a hands-on internship, at the interface between engineering and biology. To support Limula in the development of the best possible solution for automated cell therapy manufacturing, you will work with our engineering team and bring your passion for innovation and technology. You will participate in the development of the testing of our device functionalities, automation protocols and standard operating procedures (SOP) for cell processing and culture.
Responsibilities
- Help code new subsystem features and test their functionality by assisting the Engineering team
- Participate to the design and validation of innovative methods
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for our product
- Ensure exhaustive and thorough documentation - e.g. SOP and technical documents
Requirements
- Training in software engineering and interest for life science applications, (bio)engineering
- Software development, C#, embedded software, sensors, Lab instrumentation
- Experience with biology and sample handling would be a plus
- Creative, pro-active, self-motivated, flexible personality, ready to assume a wide variety of tasks
- Problem-solving skills, solution-oriented mentality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Working proficiency in written and spoken English
- Willing and able to work full time, on-site at Biopôle, Lausanne, Switzerland
