Our development team plays a key role in this growth by leading real estate, construction, facilities, and project management initiatives across the organization This internship offers valuable hands-on experience within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, and is based at our support center in Boca Raton, Florida.

Overview

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our team on a temporary basis – 40 hours per week for 2 months. The Development Intern will gain hands-on exposure to the full spectrum of Sage Dental’s development operations. This project-based internship is designed for a student with strong interest in business, real estate development, project management, or operations. The intern will work closely with our Project Management and Real Estate teams to support and observe various phases of site development, clinic openings, and ongoing facilities management.

Responsibilities

This cross-functional internship includes exposure to key areas such as:

Real Estate Development

  • Participate in the site selection process and market research
  • Observe and assist with LOI and lease negotiation processes
  • Learn about lease administration, renewals, and tracking systems
  • Support signage permitting and installation coordination
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly rent roll reports

Project Management

  • Assist with project planning and tracking using project management software
  • Support ROI analysis and development of project milestones
  • Help organize and document project meetings and track follow-ups
  • Shadow project managers across multiple development initiatives

Construction & Facilities

  • Gain visibility into site surveys, architectural drawing reviews, and permit submissions
  • Observe construction bid processes and general contractor selection
  • Understand construction project timelines and support progress tracking
  • Learn about the facilities ticketing system, vendor management, and equipment lifecycle planning

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or master’s degree in business, Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Strong interest in development, real estate, or project management
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools is a plus
  • Eager to learn, detail-oriented, and proactive
