Overview: Join Masco Corp based out of our headquarters in Livonia, MI as an Intern and become an integral part of our Internal Controls team. At Masco, we perform comprehensive internal controls testing with a dedicated team comprising an Internal Controls Manager, an Internal Controls Analyst, and self-testers from various HQ departments. Our testing efforts are further supported by the Masco Internal Audit Department (MIAD) auditors when available. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in supplementing our testing team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Support Internal Control Activities: Assist the Corporate HQ Internal Control Manager with key duties within the self-testing program to assess the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting. Conduct Testing: Perform testing of internal controls for specific Masco Corporate HQ processes. Prepare Reports: Create detailed reports and supporting workpapers outlining the results of internal control testing. Coordinate Documentation: Work closely with process owners and department managers to ensure up-to-date and accurate documentation of internal control procedures. Special Projects: Engage in special project work as needed, providing valuable support to the team. Experience & Qualifications: Educational Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field. Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Multitasking Ability: Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, adhere to deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills with keen attention to detail.
