Summary

Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Managing day-to-day works of every matrix lots to ensure on-track delivery. * Support NPI team to setup of needed mask/process/workflow including both front-end and back-end (die assembly and characterization) process flows. * Support failure analysis activities from identified issues as well as leading the analysis of identified failures on the wafer fabrication and product characterization. * Support product engineering team to drive yield improvement on characterization issues that involve interaction of multiple process areas on ad-hoc basis. * Perform design/process/test experiments to provide corrective actions on identified failure modes during new production development. Education & Experience * 2 years of experience in III-V semiconductor laser related device design, process development and characterization are required. * Master degree in electrical engineering, material science, physics, or other relevant major. Skills * Hands-on experience with design, process and characterization of optoelectronic device such as VCSEL, DFB laser, or photonic integrated chip. * Strong statistical data analysis skills (JMP or Minitab etc.). * Familiarity with semiconductor wafer fab operations is a plus (Manufacturing Execution System, process and quality control, change management etc.). * Experience with optoelectronic device reliability testing and modeling is a plus. * Strong communication skills; adept at hosting effective meetings and facilitating actions and resolving conflicts. * Strong ability to drive actions and solutions through cross-functional teams. Collaborate in a professional and respectful manner with coworkers, vendors, contractors, etc. * Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills. * Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp. xxxxx. Working Conditions * 100% on-site at the Sherman, TX facility. * May require standing, walking, and working in both office and production environments. Physical Requirements * Everyday repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement, involving gripping and wrist torquing. * Everyday stair climbing, bending, crouching, stooping, standing, walking, and occasionally reaching overhead. * Everyday lifting 25 to 50 lbs Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
