We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Intern to join our Global Operations and Estates Team. The ideal candidate will support the team on site at our Granta Park (Cambridge) office in ensuring that our office is well-maintained, safe, and operational. This internship offers hands-on experience in facilities management and the opportunity to develop skills in a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily maintenance and operational tasks to ensure the facility is running smoothly.
- Support in setting up meeting rooms, office spaces, and common areas for events and daily use.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and report maintenance issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs and maintenance work.
- Help in managing inventory of office supplies and equipment.
- Assist with health and safety compliance checks and documentation.
- Participate in projects related to space planning, office relocations, and improvements.
- Provide general administrative support to the Facilities team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Educated to 'A level' standard or currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Basic understanding of facilities operations and maintenance is a plus.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
