Physicians Mutual is seeking motivated students who are passionate about emerging technologies and eager to gain real-world experience in software development and quality assurance. Our internship program offers hands-on training, personalized mentorship, and meaningful project work to help you grow your skills and make an impact. As an intern, you'll be integrated into a dedicated development team responsible for the support and evolution of our production systems. These teams operate within an Agile/Scrum environment, following the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to deliver continuous improvement and innovation. This is a 12-month, onsite internship opportunity. Job Requirements * Completion of at least two computer programming courses with a grade of "B" or higher * Strong interest in developing skills in test automation * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications * Familiarity with Java, Selenium, and SQL * Understanding of the software development and testing lifecycles (SDLC/STLC) * Theoretical knowledge of testing approaches (unit, integration, acceptance, etc.) * Exposure to DevOps tools and cloud technologies * Experience with Microsoft Access, SQL, or Excel VBA macros * Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus About us: Health.
