Summary Of Position

As an Associate Automation Engineer Intern, you will work with the Automation Engineering team to help automate and streamline cloud infrastructure provisioning and server configurations. This position provides the opportunity to work with scripting languages like PowerShell and Python, as well as automation tools such as Ansible, Azure Automation. You will also gain hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure ARM/Bicep.

Intern Duties & Responsibilities

  • Write and maintain PowerShell or Python scripts to automate the provisioning of cloud infrastructure, ensuring consistency and efficiency across environments.
  • Assist in building and managing infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure ARM/Bicep.
  • Automate server configurations using configuration management tools such as Ansible, Azure Automation.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to optimize and troubleshoot automation processes for improved reliability and scalability.
  • Help with the integration of automation tools into the existing infrastructure to streamline workflows and improve deployment times.

Qualifications

  • Major(s): Bachelor of Computer science/ Bachelor of Information technology/ Bachelor of Software engineering
  • Class Year(s): Rising Junior/ Rising Senior/ Recent Graduate
  • GPA: Min 3.0
  • Basic cloud knowledge (AWS/Azure)
  • Windows/Linux fundamentals
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Pulumi/CloudFormation/Azure ARM or Bicep)
  • Scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python)
  • Configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Effective Communication
  • Self-starter – Ability to drive work
  • Leadership Skills: Agility, Building Trusting Relationships, Decision Making Skills, & Resilience

Availability: Must be available to work in St. Petersburg Florida from May 19, 2025 – Aug 8, 2025
