We are looking for an exceptional Graduate looking for a contract role that may become permanent who has recently completed a technical Finance, Accounting, Economics or Science based degree and who wants to have the fantastic opportunity to gain practical finance experience at a UK Head Office of a fast growing firm. You will have highly tuned numerical capabilities which will be tested as part of the interview process. You will support the small internal Finance team in all aspects of the busy finance function, including financial reporting, invoicing, payments and expenses.
This is an exciting learning opportunity to join a small and dynamic Finance team which is helping to deliver the financial requirements of the business effectively.
We would like to support a Finance focused graduate to develop their finance knowledge and technical skills within a small collaborative team. We can help you develop practical business skills and guide you on project work.
What activities will you be doing?
- Working independently to support the Finance Manager across the full breadth of finance activities.
- Accounts receivable: Monitoring and updating of clients purchase orders and billing details. Preparation of sale invoices and communication with client contacts;
- Accounts payable: Reviewing purchase invoices and employee expenses for accuracy, processing on our finance system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and preparation of payment run. Communication with our suppliers and partners.
- Assisting with monthly Management accounts and monthly journals ensuring accuracy and working to deadlines
- Year-end accounts review
- Reviewing intercompany balances and reporting on subsidiary performance.
- Cashflow monitoring, banking, credit control, and bank reconciliation.
- Preparation of various management, finance and HMRC reports.
- Monthly review and reporting of our employees and consultant's timesheets. Review of accuracy of client rates and cost of sale rates.
- Consider and suggest ways to improve finance processes based on new finance system to become more efficient across all key activities (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).

- Experience of MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- High level of numerical and analytical capabilities which will be tested

- Ability and desire to learn quickly, and willingness to get involved in all activities as directed
