Responsibilities

• Boston-based (Onsite/Hybrid)
• Reporting on all the financial statements, ensuring they are compliant with US GAAP / IFRS and reflective of global operational complexity.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany accounting, financial consolidations, lease accounting, SOX-light internal controls, ERP systems, and financial reporting.
• Ability to commit to the entire engagement, including potential extensions during financial transformation or audit cycles.
• Guide the client through remediation of legacy processes and procedures, while designing standardized and scalable SOPs and financial playbooks.
• Oversee the day-to-day global financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely month-end close activities.
• Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements, reserve accounts, and reconciliation packages across international entities.
• Assess and enhance internal controls with a focus on segregation of duties, reconciliations, and policy documentation; establish a global “control sheet framework.”
• Lead process and system audits across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory Management, and Master Data – identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or RPA.
• Support ongoing ERP and systems optimization projects to improve data integrity, close cycle, and reporting transparency.
• Act as an advisor to the CFO and executive team while working closely with the existing Controller. Help elevate the Office of the CFO through strategic, hands-on transformation.
• Create documentation, one-pagers, and monthly close checklists that institutionalize best practices.
• Collaborate with external auditors, advisors, and private equity stakeholders to ensure clean audits and controls compliance.

Required Experience, Education, and Credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ in leadership roles at global or multinational companies
• Demonstrated experience leading cleanup or turnaround accounting projects, particularly post-transaction or within PE-backed environments
• Expert in ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle; NetSuite preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS and global consolidation accounting
• Experience developing accounting policies, leading audits, and managing financial reporting timelines across multiple entities
• Must be comfortable in a hybrid role in the Boston area and be willing to be hands-on when needed
• Operational mindset with a continuous improvement orientation; prior exposure to RPA or AI-enabled finance tools a plus

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

-Resource Solutions Consultants are paid for every hour worked and time and a half for overtime, unlike traditional employment where professionals at this level are exempt from earning overtime pay.
