Join our Intellectual Property (IP) Team as an IP Clerk located in our Florham Park, New Jersey office.

This role will be based in our Florham Park, New Jersey office. This role reports to the Office Administrator.
Position Summary
The IP Clerk should be an attentive, detail oriented, proactive, and self-motivated individual to assist our IP Department (no prior IP experience is required). The position provides an excellent introduction to IP practice at a large law firm, particularly if the IP Clerk is considering attending law school in the future. Candidate should also be flexible to work overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages patent and trademark dockets
- Prepares and sends trademark reporting letters to clients
- Prepares legal forms as needed
- Maintains and organizes client files and electronic databases
- Monitors the status of client files and tasks
- Researches on patent and trademark databases for due diligence purposes
- Works with IP attorneys on various dedicated projects as required
- Performs administrative tasks for IP department
- Assists with other department activities as needed, and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education & Prior Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
- Minimum one year of relevant work experience in a professional environment
- A desire to learn, work hard, and take initiative is mandatory
Technology
- Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with electronic document management systems. Experience using iManage or Filesite a plus
- Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
The Expected Pay Range For This Position Is
$27.47 to $30.22 per hour
Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
