What's the role?

The Integration Manager - Deck Systems will manage one or more of Strategic Manta technical projects with a specific scope of applying project management principles and best practices for the planning, organizing and managing all available resources while working within the schedule and budget restraints.

During the life cycle of the project the Integration Manager - Deck Systems is responsible for the delivery of the technical deck systems, coordination and overall technical performance. This role provides the primary interface to the equipment manufacturers, contractors and technical support team during the project, commencing with the project kick off and handover from the marketing and sales team, until project end and the completion of both internal and external project close-outs. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for all handling systems and deck installations
  • Plan and schedule mechanical mobilization and demobilization activities on the allocated existing / new build / 3rd party vessels
  • Prepare basic deck layout using ACAD and lead the 3rd party naval architecht to obtain equipment sea fastening drawings. Submit the sea fastening drawings and calculations to class as necessary for approvals. Arrange for class surveyor inspections
  • Engage with 3rd party naval architecht for design of structural sea fastening for project equipment and liaise with class on inspections.
  • Supervise the 3rd party contractors during mob/demob and maintenance activities onboard the vessels in line with company's QHSSE policy
  • Ensure all engineering activities align with company procedures, design codes, and safety standards (e.g., DNV, ISO, LOLER etc.)
  • Ensure mechanical project equipment are function-tested and calibrated with appropriate certification
  • Ensure mechanical project equipment are maintained and calibrated
  • Ensure technical Lessons Learned are captured and implemented in tenders and projects
  • Liaise with vendors and lead the design and procurement process of new mechanical systems
  • Ensure quality, safety, cost management and efficient planning on the technical project.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation throughout Manta organization to optimize project delivery excellence and provide a transparent overview of the project
  • Work with the Marketing and Sales team by providing drawings as required
  • Monitor progress and provide analysis of performance metrics, including technical performance throughout the project
  • Attending client meetings when required
  • Develop and maintain strong client, partner and supplier relationships.
  • Travel whenever needed, to provide the necessary project leadership to the team as well as the engagement of clients and third parties


Requirements

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in operations within ROV, AUV, Survey or have other technical qualifications from serving in the Armed Forces and or Marine Industry
  • Experience of coordinating and supervising mobilization activities onboard offshore vessels
  • Qualified and experienced Marine / Electrical /Mechanical Engineer / Naval Architect with operational and maintenance knowledge of electrical, and mechanical (hydraulics) systems
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS and IronCAD
  • Ability to follow marine, technical and environmental industry developments.
  • Ability to handle detailed, complex concepts and problems and make rapid decisions.
  • Experienced in working a stressful operating environment whilst adopting a risk management philosophy throughout.
  • Experienced in operating an accredited management system.
  • Experienced in working with a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to develop plans and models, including budgets, and analyze performance and quality data.
