Shape the future of farming tech - and turn complex connections into powerful solutions

The Opportunity

Join Pāmu at a pivotal time of transformation, where automation, data, and integration are central to driving success across more than 100 farms nationwide.

This opportunity has come about due to an internal promotion, reflecting the growth and career pathways within Pāmu. You’ll be stepping into a role that’s highly valued and well-supported — joining a small, collaborative, and capable team where your contributions will be visible and impactful.

As our new Integration Engineer, you’ll help shape how systems, data, and people connect — unlocking smarter decision-making and enabling faster, more efficient business processes across the organisation.

This is much more than just moving data from A to B. You’ll be at the heart of automating complex workflows, simplifying how systems talk to each other, and ensuring integrations are scalable, secure, and future-ready. Your work will underpin initiatives from finance transformation to real-time insights on our farms — all while helping reduce reliance on legacy systems in favour of smart, cloud-first solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and development of integration solutions across cloud and on-prem platforms
  • Orchestrate automation and data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and Snowflake
  • Connect business-critical platforms like SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 through secure, low-code automations using Power Automate
  • Champion best practices in integration architecture, ensuring security, scalability, and sustainability
  • Collaborate with teams across tech, operations, and finance to deliver high-impact, real-world solutions
  • Play a key role in reducing technical debt and advancing our automation and integration maturity

About Us

Pāmu Landcorp Farming Limited is a State-Owned Enterprise with over 110 farms across New Zealand. Our purpose is to lead the delivery of innovative and sustainable agriculture solutions for future generations.

About You

You’re an experienced integration or data engineer who thrives on automating the complex and solving the messy.

While you may not be an expert in every platform we use, you bring a strong learning mindset and the curiosity to quickly get up to speed with new tools and technologies.

We're not looking for perfection — we’re looking for someone who’s adaptable, resourceful, and excited to grow their skills across a modern, evolving integration landscape.

If you enjoy learning on the fly and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same, you’ll feel right at home here.

Ideally, You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience integration engineering, data pipelines, or systems architecture
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and Power Automate
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Coalesce, SharePoint, Power BI, and Azure DevOps
  • Proven ability to design and implement secure integration patterns using OAuth2, App Registrations, and Managed Identities
  • A tertiary qualification in computer science or a related field is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, and awareness of integration security (including MFA impacts) will set you apart.

Benefits

At Pāmu we offer a competitive salary package with additional benefits, including health and life insurance, up to 4% KiwiSaver matching, an extra day of leave over Christmas, and enhanced parental leave benefits, as well as ongoing training and development.
