The salary range for this job posting is $34,183.00 - $54,692.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the salary range for this job requisition. This role will also initiate Commercial Lines Package account set ups and ideally work in our Charleston, West Virginia office. However, upon being fully trained and proficient will have the option to work in office, hybrid or remote. The position will report to the Manager, Engagement Center. Are you a Referral? JOB OBJECTIVE: The Intake Representative, Policy initiates Workers’ Compensation policies in the system; gathers additional information necessary to develop Workers’ Compensation policy quotes or proposals; works with underwriters to review and classify policies and provide general information to policyholders. Work is driven by multiple reporting channels such as customer portal, email, phones, and fax. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform new business set up by completing the initial intake of new applications for coverage received from both policyholders and agents Work with all applicants to gather all necessary information to process application to quote status Provide information to customers regarding claim or policy-related issues Track, follow-up and electronically file each application received Obtain additional information to complete application, follow-up and follow through when that information is received Respond to emails from agents, policyholders and claimants Review, update and document intake processes and efficiencies OTHER FUNCTIONS: Other duties as needed KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to provide excellent customer service to both external and internal customers Ability to work as a team member and perform based on established standards and expectations Ability to multi-task Must be detail-oriented Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to fully analyze information received and make decisions as to next steps and action required Experience with Microsoft Products Ability to work proficiently in multiple systems Excellent organizational skills High school diploma. One year previous full time experience in customer service and/or claims intake preferred. At least one year of experience in the insurance industry preferred.
