JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Program Manager to join a growing, innovative startup in the Life & Annuities space. This individual will play a critical role in managing and optimizing annuity operations programs, collaborating cross-functionally with both business and technology teams. The ideal candidate brings a strong operational background in annuities, is tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of annuity operations initiatives across the organization
• Partner with product, operations, and technology teams to ensure alignment with business goals
• Serve as a subject matter expert in annuity operations, driving improvements in process efficiency and service delivery
• Translate business needs into project plans, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met
• Manage stakeholder communication, risk identification, and mitigation planning
• Monitor program performance and provide regular updates to executive leadership
• Continuously evaluate tools, systems, and workflows for optimization opportunities

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry with a focus on annuity operations
• Strong understanding of life & annuities products, regulations, and operational workflows
• Proven experience managing cross-functional programs or large-scale projects
• Familiarity with insurance technology platforms and digital transformation efforts
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to work on-site in Shelton, CT on a hybrid basis

Preferred:

• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
• Background in process improvement or Lean/Agile methodologies

Pay: $55-$60/hr
