Burns & McDonnell India has exciting opportunity forInstrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer interested in growing theircareers in one of the fast-paced company involved in high tech building design and construction. We are in a process of establishing a team of instrumentation & controls engineers focused on design of control systems for Hyperscale Data Centers and Food & Consumer Productfacilities.Projectfocuswouldalsocovervarietyofotherfacilitiesincludingpharmaceutical,life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, airports, and institutional facilities in the North America region.

Duties

AlongwithI&Ctheselectedcandidatewillalsogetinvolvedintelecommunications,buildingautomation systems, etc. WearelookingforacandidatetojoinourGlobalFacilitiesbusinessunitinMumbai officetosupportInstrumentation&Controldesignactivitiesforabovelistedfacilities.Theengineerwill be responsible for developing I&C engineering design packages and calculations in support of new or retrofit projects. Specific duties include the following:

• DesignI&Csystemandequipmentaspertherequirementsofeachclientandfacility.
• DevelopPiping&InstrumentationDiagram(P&ID)and/orcontrolschematicsasrequired.
• Developcontrolsystemdeliverablessuchas:
• I/Oconfigurationandpartitioningtohardware
• Fieldconnectiondiagrams
• DCSConnectiondiagrams
• LoopDrawings
• ControlPanelDesign
• Instrumentwiringdiagrams
• CableSchedule
• FunctionalDescriptions(FDS)/ControlsNarratives
• IQ/OQDocumentation
• Controlroomlayouts
• Developinstrumentationdeliverablessuchas:
• Instrumentdemolition/installationdiagrams
• Instrumentdatasheets
• Instrumentlocationplans
• Conduitrouting
• I/OLists
• Reviewvendordrawingsubmittalstoconfirmdesigncompliance.
• PLCprogramminganddesignofHMI.
• Performqualityreviewsofprojectsubmittals.
• Developdesignsthatarecompliantwithprevalentcodes,standardsandgoodengineeringpractices followed in the industry.
• Workwithaseniorengineerinsupportingdesignactivitiesontheproject.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’sdegreeininstrumentationorelectricalengineeringfromaccreditedprogramora recognized institute.
• Minimum4to6yearsofrelevantexperience.Experienceinfood&consumerproductandmission critical facility design is a plus.
• Knowledgeofthefollowingprogrammablelogiccontrollers(PLCs)ispreferred:RockwellStudio 5000, SLC, PLC5, Modicon, GE, Siemens. Schneider
• KnowledgeofthefollowingHMIsispreferred:RockwellFTViewSE/ME,WonderwareInTouch, Modicon, GE, Siemens.
• Knowledgeofthefollowingdistributedcontrolsystemplatformsispreferredbutnorequired; Emerson DeltaV, ABB Symphony Plus, and Siemens T3000.
• HandsonCADexperienceisamust.KnowledgeofREVITisaplus.
• ProficientintheEnglishlanguageandmustdemonstrateexcellentoralandwrittencommunication skills,
• Candidatemustdemonstrateastronganalyticalandproblem-solvingskills.
• Previousconsultingengineeringexperiencestronglypreferred.
