As an Instructional Designer, you will be part of a dynamic team supporting the development of engaging educational content. The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration skills, a passion for education, and the ability to synthesize complex information, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Instructional Designer
Location: Stanford, CA (On-site)
What's the Job?
- Collaborate closely with the Associate Director for Academic Technology to design and develop course modules.
- Organize scholarly resources on AI and education topics for presentation in the course modules.
- Synthesize complex pedagogical and technical information into easily understood, clear, and concise instructional content.
- Design learning experiences, including activities and assessments, to promote engagement and facilitate learning.
- Build course modules in Canvas, employing basic coding skills and utilizing genAI technologies when appropriate.
What's Needed?
- Proven ability to create engaging asynchronous instructional content that enhances adult learning.
- Strong understanding of higher education pedagogy and familiarity with the intersection of generative AI, pedagogy, and education.
- Strong instructional and educational writing experience, with the ability to write clearly and engagingly.
- Proven experience working effectively in teams and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge and experience with Canvas; familiarity with coding web-based interactive elements is a plus.
