The role involves developing and promoting educational programs for North Carolina residents, healthcare providers, NCOVR partners, and other stakeholders. Additionally, the Instructional Designer provides technical assistance to local health departments, private providers, and professional organizations, supporting their training needs through webinars, visual aids, and in-person programs.  About the NC Division of Public Health: The NC Division of Public Health works to promote and contribute to the highest possible level of health for the people of North Carolina. About Vital Records: N.C. Vital Records is part of the DHHS Division of Public Health. In partnership with county registers of deeds offices, local health departments, and birthing facilities throughout the state, we are responsible for recording North Carolina vital events. This includes responsibility for legally registering all births, deaths, fetal deaths, marriages, and divorces which occur in North Carolina; coding these events for statistical purposes; maintaining these records; and providing certified or uncertified copies to individuals, researchers, and public health programs. For more information about DHHS: https://www.ncdhhs.gov/ Listed below are the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) associated with the position.  These KSAs, along with the minimum education and experience listed, are required in order to be deemed "eligible" for the position therefore you must provide supporting information, within the body of your application, to demonstrate your possession of each KSA listed.  Qualified applicants must possess, and application must clearly reflect work experience that demonstrates the following: * Ability to write and edit instructional materials such as manuals, guides, e-learning modules, and tutorials, ensuring technical accuracy, clarity, and accessibility. * Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, including the development of various learning aids such as webinars, visuals, and in-person training programs * Proficiency in developing Standard Operating Procedures to maintain consistency in educational content and processes. * Proven ability to manage the production and distribution of educational content, ensuring timely delivery to intended audiences, including healthcare providers, public health programs, and NC residents. * Skilled in working with subject matter experts to gather, verify, and incorporate accurate information into instructional materials. * Experience promoting educational initiatives through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and community events, to ensure broad reach and engagement. * Knowledge of emerging trends in instructional design and technical writing, with the ability to integrate best practices into the development of educational materials. Management Preferences: * Candidates who are proficient in using content management platforms such as SharePoint, as well as design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, or Captivate, will be highly preferred.
