As the Head of Instructional Design, you will lead the strategic direction,
development, and management of training products and solutions. You
will be responsible for ensuring that our instructional offerings align with
market needs, client requirements, and industry standards while driving
innovation and efficiency in learning design and delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in instructional design, training development,
and leadership roles.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
- Expertise in instructional design frameworks, methodologies, and
learning technologies.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee
multiple initiatives.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for engaging with
stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in client engagement, sales support, and business
development within a training organization.
- Knowledge of learning analytics, data-driven decision-making, and
quality assurance in training.
- Knowledge of IBF (Institute of Banking and Finance) is a plus.
- Knowledge of the financial industry is a good-to-have.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Product Development & Management
- Determine which training products to develop, enhance, discontinue, or maintain.
- Oversee the development of new training solutions, ensuring alignment with instructional design (ID) frameworks and methodologies.
- Regularly review and update learning materials (slides, videos, quizzes) to maintain high-quality standards.
- Client & Market Needs Analysis
- Gather client requirements to develop customized and relevant learning solutions.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to refine and improve training offerings.
- Sales & Business Development Support
- Work closely with the sales team to provide insights and recommendations on training solutions.
- Participate in client meetings to assess needs and propose tailored training solutions.
- Team & Project Leadership
- Oversee project timelines, ensuring the successful delivery of learning products.
- Conduct performance reviews and support team members in their professional growth.
- Develop and conduct training for internal team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), partners, and internal teams to design and implement training programs.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and industry partners for content development and technology integration.
- Instructional Design Methodology Development
- Develop and refine the instructional design methodology to ensure best practices in learning effectiveness.
- Standardize learning frameworks and approaches to maintain consistency and quality.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all training programs meet industry standards, compliance requirements, and accreditation criteria where applicable.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of learning materials.
- Lead the accreditation process for training programs with the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) & SkillsFuture (SSG).
