Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fiber Optic Lead Technician to join our team and oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks in an outdoor environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in fiber optic systems and leadership experience, capable of managing a field crew while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Crew Leadership and Supervision: Lead and manage a team of fiber optic technicians during the installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic cables in the field. Provide on-site direction, training, and support to ensure work is performed efficiently and safely. Delegate tasks to team members, ensuring clear communication and proper execution of duties. Ensure adherence to project schedules and deadlines, while maintaining the highest quality standards. Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety standards and practices in accordance with industry regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety briefings and site inspections to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Ensure proper use and maintenance of field equipment, tools, and machinery. Client Interaction and Reporting: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers or contractors on-site, addressing any questions or concerns regarding the fiber optic work being performed. Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily tasks, crew activities, and any issues encountered during the work. Report project progress and issues to the project manager or field supervisor.
