Inside Sales Representative

A leading safety manufacturer of high visibility garments is looking for a full-time Inside Sales Representative. This role is responsible for generating leads, advancing the sales process, closing new business, and assisting in the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas. The Inside Sales Representative will conduct research to identify leads and reach business targets through telephone and email correspondence. This individual will also actively participate in the planning and execution of company marketing activities providing vital input based on his/her interactions with prospects. Our inside sales representatives contribute to building a position team spirit, ask for help when needed, and can offer to help support others.

Position Information

Location: Marietta, GA

Job Status: Full Time, (40 Hours a Week) Paid Bi-Weekly

Shift: 9:00am-5:30pm

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales

Essential Accountabilities

  • Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position.
  • Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within client base.
  • Cold-call prospects that are generated by providing internal and external sources of leads.
  • Safeguard all customer information.
  • Adhere to the company’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited calls and convert those into sales.
  • Answer incoming calls, and make outbound follow-up calls to existing clients via telephone and email. Utilize knowledge and data to cross-sell and up-sell.
  • Calls on and creates relationships with potential customers, or leads, to cultivate new business.
  • Provide a comprehensive and positive experience for prospective customers. Emphasize products, service features, and benefits. Quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
  • Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database, maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Travel to and participation in trade shows 1-2 times per year.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Position report to the Director of Sales and will work closely with National Account Managers.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years minimum of previous Sales experience a must.
  • Uniform apparel/garment industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CRM and ERP platforms.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects, close deals, and achieve sales quotas.
  • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning and execution, call control, account development, and time management.
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic. Accepts responsibility for their actions, treats others with consideration and respect.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and listening skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to type, key, handle, feel or operate office machinery, objects or controls and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time; often upwards of 50% of the day.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, climb stairs or bend; often upwards of 50% of the day.
