The Inside Sales Representative Smart Building Solutions is committed to driving our USA business sales and growth of our Smart Buildings Automation Controls Solutions to Residential, Commercial, Multi-Dwelling Units and Hotel vertical segment customers and influencers. In this role, you will work to identify and qualify sales leads and engage with customer prospects, representing our products and services remotely via digital communications like phone calls, emails and video conferencing. This is very much a Hunter role that drives and supports the generation of qualified sales leads to our field sales representatives. Our target customers are building architects & engineers (A&E), engineering procurement and construction (A&E’s) contractor, consultant, developer, and end-users.

  As an Inside Sales Representative, you have these key responsibilities:

  • Selling Products/Services: Identifying customer needs, offering solutions, and support the Regional Sales Manager in closing sale deals.  
  • Communication: Engaging with customers through phone, email, and other digital channels. 
  • Prospecting: Researching and identifying potential customers. 
  • Lead Management: Following up on leads and nurturing potential clients. 
  • Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers. 
  • Database Management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of customer information and sales activities. 
  • Sales Performance: Meeting or exceeding sales led generation quotas and targets. 
  • Product Knowledge: Maintaining a strong understanding of the products or services being sold.
  • Sales and Cold Calling: Experience with sales techniques, cold calling, and building rapport with potential clients is highly valuable.

  • Self-Motivated: Inside Sales Representatives often work independently and need to be self-motivated to pursue sales goals. 
  • Adaptability: The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle rejection is important. 
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to identify and solve customer problems is crucial for building strong relationships. 
  • Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software and other relevant tools. 

We would like you to have the following qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in an inside sales capacity
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Highly motivated with a results-oriented mindset
  • Experience with CRM software and other sales tools
  • Knowledge of sales processes and sales techniques
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate varying time zones and customer availability
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual basis, without sponsorship
