Position Summary
The Inside Business Development Associate will play a critical role in supporting the sales pipeline and business development efforts for TransTech Group. This role focuses on qualifying warm leads from inbound marketing, strategic account research, and marketing intelligence. Partnering with the inside marketing team, outside business development teams, and leadership across TransTech’s portfolio companies, the Inside Business Development Associate ensures the seamless integration of lead qualification with sales efforts to drive revenue growth.
The ideal candidate is a tenured sales professional with extensive experience in lead qualification, account management, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce and HubSpot. This individual will also support the Director of Business Development and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain customer engagement and satisfaction.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Qualify and manage warm leads from inbound marketing campaigns, strategic account research, and marketing intelligence tools, promptly following up with potential customers to ensure a seamless handoff to outside sales and business development teams.
- Partner with inside marketing and outside business development teams to align strategies, optimize customer engagement, and support account management activities with consistent communication and follow-up to maintain strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with leadership, project management, and sales teams across TransTech’s portfolio companies to support business development objectives, providing regular updates and reports on lead conversion rates, pipeline progress, and customer insights.
- Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage customer data, track lead status, and generate reports for leadership, while leveraging HubSpot Marketing or similar platforms to enhance customer outreach and optimize lead nurturing processes.
- Conduct initial client discovery calls to gather valuable insights and further qualify leads, building and maintaining relationships with prospective customers to ensure high levels of responsiveness and professionalism.
Competencies
- Proven expertise in qualifying B2B leads, with a strong track record of converting them into actionable opportunities; familiarity with the energy, industrial gas, and cryogenic sectors is highly desirable.
- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce CRM and HubSpot Marketing Platform, with experience managing pipelines and creating data-driven reports to support sales strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with teams and prospective customers, conduct discovery calls, and present tailored solutions.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, identify trends, and evaluate growth opportunities to support strategic decisions.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inside sales, account management, or a related role, preferably in engineered equipment fabrication, industrial services, or energy services markets.
