Summary

Injection Machine Operator

Available shift: D shift

Sun: 7am-3:30pm, Mon: (12-hour) 7am-7pm, Tue: 3pm-11:30pm, Wed: 11pm-7:30am, Fri: Off, Sat: Off

Must be able to train on Day or Swing shift until training completed.

Essential Responsibilities

INJECTION MOLDING

  • Attain/exceed throughput (kg/hr) goals per mold specification
  • Attain/exceed quality yield targets of +95%
  • Attain/exceed uptime targets of +95%
  • Monitor and react to process changes on injection molding equipment using resources such as ERP, MES, QAS, QMS, CMMS, and all other related digital interface systems
  • Assist in all PMs (except Electrical) on all equipment within the department.
  • Assist in Mold Changes.
  • Perform color changes, material dosing quantities.
  • Fill out ALL proper documentation required to maintain/operate the injection molding machines.
  • Perform quality checks.

SHIFT SUPPORT

  • Injection Operator is responsible for self AND forklift operators, material handlers and/or temp support staff which are not limited to attendance, lunches, timecard approval, PSA’s, safety raining, etc.
  • Provide shift support of forklift operators, material handlers and/or temp support staff.
  • Verify paperwork is correctly filled out daily and tasks are completed before end of shift

BATCH TICKETS

  • Ensure paperwork is filled out with zero errors by end of shift

INVENTORY

  • Ensure all inventory records are up to date and all products are well-organized
  • Ensure proper identification of all inventories

GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES (GMP)

  • Responsible for following all GMP requirements of the facility
  • Adhere to good housekeeping
  • Responsible for maintaining 6S
  • Zero GMP violations per month
  • Perform Line Clearances for every Sku Change

SAFETY

  • Adhere to all requirements of Safety program at rPlanet Earth and contribute to building a safe culture

FOOD SAFETY

  • Responsible for following food safety requirements of the facility
  • Adhere to applicable prerequisite programs (PRP) per HACCP requirement.

TRAINING

  • 3-month in-house training required upon initial hiring. Pay range is determined by initial knowledge/skills and post training performance.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings/training classes.

DEPARTMENT LIAISON

  • Communicate shift activities through shift hand off, email, teams, or any other related communication provided by rPlanet Earth. Including Shift Summaries and EOS

Other

  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Able to work either Weekdays/Weekends/Holidays/dayshifts/nightshifts
  • Able to work 8/12-hour shifts
  • Able to work overtime
  • Able to comply with shift clock in/out schedules
  • Able to respond to phone messages within 24 hours when off shift in the event of shift call outs
  • Required to follow ALL rPlanet Earth company policies
  • Adhere/comply with shift task’s schedules
  • Able to perform rework activities
  • Required to adhere to all other reasonable duties as assigned by Department Leader and/or above.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledge of Injection Molding Fundamentals
  • Knowledge of PET Drying Fundamentals
  • Knowledge of material conveying/storage equipment
  • Knowledge of packaging of finished goods
  • Knowledge of Vision systems
  • Able to assist in PMs
  • Able to assist in mold changes
  • Ability to identify quality issues
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze a problem and determine a possible solution
  • Technical skills to read and interpret technical information
  • Must have good communication skills to compile clear and concise evaluation reports
  • Conduct training to educate workers about improved quality processes
  • Team player with high standards of integrity, ethics and behavior
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Willingness and ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to create a culture which promotes a team environment
  • Able to operate a forklift (additional training required)
  • Able to operate a scissor lift and boom lift (additional training required)
  • Able to operate over cranes (additional training required)
