Support Improvements of Molding operations for Injection or Compression areas on a technical basis
Own the performance of all processes within the department.
Project management of tooling, machinery and equipment needs
Provide Technical Training to appropriate personnel.
Assist with the technical aspects of Finishing operations associated with the department’s molded parts.
Develop or improve manufacturing work instructions, including Job Safety Analysis
Support the company’s efforts to Drive a Zero Incidents Safety Culture
Health And Safety Responsibilities
Able to work in ambient room temperatures, Plant environment-extreme heat and humidity in the summer with some dirt, noise, dust, plastic, and oil, but not disagreeable. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Maintain compliance with all Safety Rules and Regulations. Identify and report any safety risks, accidents, incidents (near miss), injuries and property damage at the workplace. Correct use of appropriate personal protective equipment. May need to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, and push for prolonged periods of time during the course of a normal workday. May at times require extended hours to complete projects.
Specific Training, Knowledge Or Skills Required
Minimum of 3-5 years of Plastics or Polymer Science experience.
Hands on processing experience.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office & AS400- MAPICS software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Leadership skills, coaching, mentoring, or training skills preferred.
Understanding of tooling designs
Knowledge of plastic processing and plastic materials
Bilingual skills in Spanish and English a plus
