Job Title: Lead Operator – Plastic Injection Molding (2nd Shift)

Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday)

Bonus: $1,500 Hiring Bonus for candidates with Plastic Injection Molding experience

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Operator to oversee Press Operators and Parts Handlers on our 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production in our plastic injection molding operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily shift startup and production organization
• Train, coordinate, and support Press Operators in their roles
• Conduct routine inspections of molding presses
• Verify Bill of Materials, press tickets, and molded part specifications
• Perform periodic visual and dimensional inspections to maintain quality standards
• Ensure accurate part counts and proper packaging/labeling per BOM
• Monitor production cycle times and part counts using manufacturing software
• Maintain documentation of quality issues during the shift
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment, following 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles
• Coordinate with Team Leaders and assist with seamless shift handovers

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in plastic injection molding (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Comfortable taking direction and working in a team setting
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and lift up to 35 lbs
• Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
