Compensation The compensation target range for this role is: $24.00 - $25.00 Job Summary Purple is looking for an exceptional Engineering Mold Technician who possesses ability to work efficiently in high-demand situations. This full-time position requires a dependable, hard-working person adept at equipment and process related problem solving specifically to our Injection Molding Machines and their associated processes. As an Engineering Mold Technician, you will have plenty of opportunity to help the team and processes continuously grow, evolve, and improve. Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES Your normal duties will include, but are not limited to: Promote safety first methodologies in all tasks performed and observed. Monitor the operation of critical parameters on equipment. Assist in the development and execute designed experiments regarding injection molding and injection molding processes. Team with the Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production, Safety and Maintenance teams to: Implement training programs for new and existing processes. Develop experiments to optimize equipment throughput and yield. Troubleshoot poor performing equipment as required. Maintain a working knowledge of quality procedures and work instructions. Provide technical process support to the organization. Collaborate with the Process Engineering and Production Manager daily to determine production needs related to process and other technical issues. Actively participate in continuous improvement activities. REQUIRED EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Manufacturing, Statistics or Injection Molding Certifications preferred, but professional experience will be considered. QUALIFICATIONS Basic computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Data collection experience using Excel. Exceptional problem-solving abilities. Ability to use precision measurement equipment. Effective communication, both verbal and written. Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Must be willing to be on call, as needed. Production runs 24-hour. shifts, so some night and weekend work will be occasionally required. Knowledge of Injecting Molding Machines, their operations, and associated processes preferred.
