Are you a passionate and skilled SRE Engineer looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client's cloud system engineering department in Dublin! Here, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and security of global cloud services. This is your chance to make a significant impact while working with cutting-edge technology in the fast-paced world of cloud computing!

What You'll Do:

- Administer & Automate: Maintain and automate systems to ensure reliability, resiliency, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with R&D: Work closely with Software R&D teams to design, deploy, and operate automated, resilient, and scalable components and services.
- Support Deployments: Provide networking support for Mobile Services, spanning various layers of the networking stack.
- Monitor & Debug: Keep a close eye on Mobile Services, troubleshooting issues across applications, networks and databases and delivering technical resolutions for high-severity incidents.
- analyse Metrics: Develop and share reports on service metrics such as availability, capacity, performance, and latency across all production systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in System Engineering operations by automating routine tasks and documenting new procedures. Be prepared for occasional on-call support (1 week every 2 months on average or less).

What We're Looking For:

- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent IT experience.
- Experience Matters: 3+ years of designing, deploying, and operating networks.
- Networking Expertise: Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and IPv6; familiarity with Content Delivery Networks and experience with load balancing.
- Cloud Savvy: Proficient in configuring and deploying VMs and Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
- Linux Guru: Extensive experience in managing Linux-based environments.
- Management Skills: Solid understanding of incident management, change management, and problem management.
- Problem Solver: A systematic approach to problem-solving with effective communication skills and a strong drive.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, RHCSA, or equivalent experience.
- Scripting skills in Bash or Python.
- Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible.
