Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Delivery: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Create detailed project plans covering timelines, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution.

  • Technical Oversight: Provide strategic technical direction and oversight for infrastructure projects, facilitating architectural alignment and guiding teams through complex technical challenges.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and senior leadership, providing clear updates on project status, risks, and issues. Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external vendors.

  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues. Develop mitigation strategies and escalate as needed to minimize impact on timelines and objectives.

  • Budget & Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, control expenses, and ensure delivery within financial parameters. Optimize allocation and utilization of internal and external resources.

  • Change Management: Implement structured change management processes to support seamless transitions and minimize disruption during deployments.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet business and technical quality standards. Oversee validation, testing, and acceptance processes.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, risk logs, and post-project reviews.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement improvements in project execution, delivery methodologies, and governance practices.

skills and experience required

  • 4+ years of experience leading technical infrastructure projects, including cloud (AWS/Azure), Microsoft services, networking, or data center implementations.

  • Strong understanding of core IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and enterprise technology environments.

  • Proficient in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Experience managing project budgets, resources, and third-party vendors.

  • Familiar with change management frameworks and practices.

  • Experience delivering infrastructure projects for both public-sector (e.g., Singapore Government, IM8/MAS TRM compliance) and commercial clients, demonstrating adaptability across regulated and fast-paced environments.
  • Technical Proficiency in:

    • Cloud (AWS/Azure): Core compute, networking, storage, IAM/governance, IaC (Terraform/Bicep), HA/DR, cost controls.

    • Microsoft Services: M365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange), Entra ID/SSO, security tools (Defender, Sentinel), CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub).

    • Networking: Routing, firewalls, load balancing, SD-WAN, telemetry/monitoring.

    • Data Center & Virtualization: VMware/Hyper-V, HCI systems, rack/power basics, backup/DR solutions (Veeam, Zerto).

    • Cross-Functional Knowledge: ITIL, compliance (ISO 27001, MAS TRM), vendor/SLA management, observability tools.
