Hays is currently working with an established organisation in Newcastle, NSW looking for a skilled Infrastructure Project Manager to join their team.

Your new role

Are you passionate about technology and how it can enhance the workplace experience? Do you have experience in managing technology integration projects for major works and refurbishments? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as Infrastructure Project Manager.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all major works and refurbishments are integrated with standardised technology solutions, such as audiovisual systems, network infrastructure, video conferencing, CCTV, and building management technology. You will work closely with the facilities and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs and expectations of the project stakeholders. You will collaborate with the facilities team, ensuring that technology requirements are considered in the planning phases of projects. Leveraging your experience, you will be responsible for budget estimation and tracking for technology-related aspects of projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience delivering Infrastructure and Technology Projects, ideally with an understanding of audiovisual equipment and network infrastructure
  • An ability to drive outcomes by effectively communicating and collaborating with stakeholders and project teams
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver complex programs and/or projects with proven cost control and resource management ability and a track record of delivery to budget
  • In-depth understanding of integrating networking, including Wi-Fi access points, routers and switches with technology solutions
  • Thorough understanding of construction best practices
  • Professional qualifications in Project Management (e.g. Scrum, Agile, Prince2) will be highly regarded

This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate closely with a team of dedicated IT and construction professionals on an initial 12-month contract. Please note that you will be required to work on site for a minimum of 3 days per week.
