The Infrastructure Network Analyst's primary responsibility is to manage and optimize the University's infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks, Microsoft Teams and Cloud PBX, and coordination of IT aspects in University construction projects. The Network Analyst's role is crucial for ensuring the University's communication infrastructure is robust, secure, and aligned with the evolving needs of the institution. The position fills a crucial role on a dynamic team, and will be expected to handle a variety of tasks and projects based on University priorities.

* Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the University's wired and wireless networks; ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance network connectivity for campus users.
* Manage and configure the campus router to support network requirements.
* Manage the Packetfence Network Access Control infrastructure; ensure network security and compliance with access policies.
* Administer Microsoft Teams and Cloud PBX communication systems; support communication and collaboration needs for campus users.
* Collaborate with project teams to manage IT aspects of University construction projects; ensure the integration of communication infrastructure with new facilities.
* Contribute to the management and configuration of the campus firewall; monitor and enforce security policies to protect the network.
* Provide backup support for Microsoft Exchange administration.
* Act as a point of escalation for complex IT issues, providing expertise and resolution.
* Regularly review system logs for security incidents and operational insights.
* Implement and manage data backup strategies to prevent data loss.
* Develop and maintain scripts and automate routine tasks.
* Manage SSL certificates to ensure secure communication.
* Monitor infrastructure components for alerts and generate insightful reports.

Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
* 3+ years of relevant experience in network and communication infrastructure management.
* Strong expertise in wired and wireless network administration.
* Security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
Skills and Competencies
* Proficiency in Network Access Control (Packetfence) implementation and management.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams, and Cloud PBx.
* Familiarity with managing IT aspects of construction projects.
* Experience with firewall (FortiNET) configuration and management.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Scripting and automation experience (e.g. PowerShell, Python).
* Familiarity with HPE / Aruba switches and wireless is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
* Possesses good interpersonal skills, mature judgment, ability to learn quickly and apply new technology.
* Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
* Able to perform analytical thinking to decision-making.
* Must be able to handle and work with interruptions during normal office hours.
