Summary

Infrastructure Integration and Design Manager

Location: California (San Francisco Bay Area)

Salary: $180 - $200k + 10% bonus and paid relocation


Our client is seeking a motivated Infrastructure Integration and Design Manager with strong experience in rail infrastructure and signaling systems. You'll lead civil, installation, and cable routing design work along the wayside and within technical rooms, while managing two direct engineering reports.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate CBTC (Communication-Based Train Control) infrastructure design for constructability and compliance.
  • Resolve technical interfaces between infrastructure and system subsystems.
  • Act as liaison between engineering and site teams, ensuring field needs are addressed.
  • Identify project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Represent infrastructure design decisions to the client.
  • Use AutoCAD and Bluebeam for interface and design management.
  • Oversee design consistency, delegate tasks, and support project delivery strategy.


Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years experience in railway, energy plants, or data center infrastructure—especially in civil, cabling, or wiring design.
  • Experience with brownfield railway projects is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure requirements, interface registers, and traceability tools.
  • Construction background is a bonus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • PE license required.
